Brynderwen is a large house, just over a hundred years old. It is a mile up the wooded valley from Llangrannog beach, and is set in over an acre of garden and woodland. The house is divided into two parts. The first and second floors comprise a spacious, serene and light-filled space which is entirely self-contained and can sleep 6 to 8 people.First Floor: Kitchen, bathroom, double bedroom, living-room with open fire. All rooms have large windows, and the kitchen and living-room have beautiful views onto fields and woods. The kitchen table seats 8 comfortably, and the kitchen is equipped with cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, ironing facilities etc. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Second Floor: One double bedroom, two twin rooms, one with ensuite shower.
The rooms are simple but quite comfortable, and fully equipped according to the requirements of the Welsh Tourist Board. All have Velux windows (with fitted blinds for night), and are very light in consequence.
We supply electricity, gas for central heating, and logs for the fire, We also supply bedlinen, but please bring your own towels.
Mobile Phones: Please be aware that because of our remote valley location you will not get reception on your mobile phone at the house unless you are on T-Mobile (though some O2 reception has sometimes been possible in the upper bedrooms). You will need to go about a mile up the road to make or receive calls. There is a phone box at the beach and in an emergency, of course you can use our landline.
Dogs: We welcome visiting dogs at no extra charge. We have a dog of our own. Although she is not allowed in the holiday accommodation she is very friendly and likes to welcome visitors and participate in everything, so if you are allergic to dogs this may be a problem.Please, no smoking in the house.
If you are receiving tuition or supervision you can stay at the student rate of £20 per night for a room to yourself (or a double bedroom for students bringing partners), £10 per night if you are OK to share a room. This price is all inclusive. Please go to Contact Us to arrange accommodation.
